The Rest of the Story

OK, now it makes sense. My wife had been complaining to her doctor for months about pain on the right side. After the CT scan, he sent her to a urologist for a mass in the left kidney. She kept telling him the pain was on the right but he blew it off. Her symptoms were not consistent with the kidney mass. Finally, somebody must have asked the radiologist to take another look. Oh, Yeah! There's is a mass in the colon, too. Bingo! I really don't have time to be angry or blame anyone. We have to deal with the fact that her appointment this month is with a kidney specialist when we need to be at the endocrinologist. Two trips to Baltimore are in the offing. More to come.

Suffice it to say, don't ever trust a doctor. Ask questions. Complain. Make them listen. Be proactive.
