Surely now, people must see Donald Rumsfeld for the liar he is. Faced with his own quotes, time and again he denied he ever said them. He even tried to blame Secretary Powell in some twisted manner. The fact that troops went into battle prepared to face chemical weapons somehow justifies his misstatements that the weapons were known to exist. He was funnier than Colbert, were it not for the fact that his act kills people literally.
He needs to retire.
On another level the state legislature in Colorado is considering a solution to a problem. They are trying to determine how to fund a pension fund that is not underfunded by any reasonable standard. One must hope they come up with an ineffective solution to a nonexistant problem. My prediction is that the state employees and teachers will step up to increase their contribution rate. As a result, the fund will have a huge surplus in twenty five years. We shall see.
